Housecoat; /ˈhousˌkōt/; noun; a woman’s long, loose, lightweight robe for informal wear around the house. I had this brand new housecoat in my wardrobe for the longest time. I asked Apnea if she wouldn’t mind modeling it. I imagine this had to be one of the worst things she had to wear. Not the latex outfits. Not the gas masks. Not the vacuum-bed. Not the ultra-high heels. Not the restraints or the BDSM gear. That ugly Sears housecoat. I imagine she was feeling like a horse’s patoot but being the consummate professional, she made it sexy. So how did this posting come about you ask? Well, I’ll tell you. I saw a photo of @morriganwraith and it reminded me of Apnea. We exchanged messages/comments on IG and it got me thinking about her. I hope she’s well.
Just for laughs, I edited this in Photoshop instead of Lightroom. I wanted to see if the results were any better. I used Adjustment Layers and Smart Filters instead of Camera Raw. It took twice as long to do it that way and it was an unintuitive and cumbersome process. On another note, Fin looks great in the utility boots, military duty belt, and handcuffs. She was fun to work with.
I showed this image to a friend on IG.
Her: Ha. You got the idea from a post Tyler Shields put up recently.
Me: HOW DARE YE! I will not dignify that attack with a response!
She was right. Tyler Shields posted a giant closeup of a pair of lips. I thought, “Hey! I’ve got some lips too.” It was the same thing like the April O’Neil/Huey Lewis scenario. I found a photo that I liked but right next to it was a dark photo from the same series. The flash failed to fire. I started playing with that image and produced this. A little artsy-fartsy. A little sexy. A little different.
