This is from the Zivity Photography Bootcamp. I was in Conan Sorrano’s group and Mariya was his model. Conan showed us how to shoot in natural light and use a reflector. After the demo, we had some time to shoot Mariya. Some of the group members crashed the other the other groups with Mosh and Mischa, which I thought was rude, but With fewer people in my group, I could spend more time shooting Mariya. She was a good model and very cool. She had been featured in Playboy Plus, the online part of Playboy that had nothing to do with the magazine. Later that day, I was able to shoot both Mischa and Mosh. It was a great workshop. @samsanchezphoto

I’m posting this photo in commemoration of National Sunglasses Day. I didn’t know this was even a thing until Facebook told me so. I asked Carina to say “Heyyyyy” for this frame because she’s not the type of girl to say that. She also wouldn’t say, “Woooo!” without a good reason. You know how some girls say “Wooo” to anything? “It’s 13:00 Hours. Wooo!” “We’re having spaghetti tonight. Wooo!” “I need to trim my ear hair. Woooo!” Carina is not like that. I thought the juxtaposition of the girl who wouldn’t say “Heyyyyy” saying “Heyyyyy” would be fun. Now that could be a new book series. The Girl Who Wouldn’t Say Heyyyyy. The Girl Who Wouldn’t Say Woooo. The Girl Who Wouldn’t Use Bae. @samsanchezphoto
