This is Vivian. This was one of the best shoots I’d ever done. It was all because of her. Vivian was a lot of fun to work with and photographs well. We talked about a number of things as we worked. I remember laughing a lot. In this shot, she really brought the mini-dress (it’s really just a top) and heels to life. Models like Vivian are one of the reasons I like doing this kind of work. @samsanchezphoto
This is Lauren WK. She is a famous fetish/goth/alt model I had the privilege of working with. I wanted to do a latex shoot and she had the wardrobe and the look I liked. While we were working, we had a great discussion about other models and photographers which made me feel a little more connected to the art. I don’t hang out with other photographers. My only contact is through the models I work with. It was great to hear some stories about the photographers and models I admire. @samsanchezphoto

This is Sie ist Idaho. She had tons of personality and we had a really fun photo shoot. She modeled to pay for an art habit. She is a painter and she showed me her work. Very impressive pieces. She no longer models but I’ll always have our one shoot together. @samsanchezphoto
Here’s one from my last shoot with Amanda (Apnea). Working with her is a dream come true for me. I became aware of her from a cover of Gothic Beauty Magazine back in 2005. Seeing her photo literally stopped me in my tracks (if you can believe that). I bought the magazine and found her web site. A couple of years later, she mentioned she was coming to town. I sent her a message introducing myself and asked for a shoot. She agreed. I was starstruck. When we worked together, it took a lot of energy to contain that but we produced a number of great images. She was totally cool and made my concepts come alive. I didn’t work with her again until she contacted me in 2015 for a shoot. I got the studio and we did a morning session (yes, I got up early for her). This photo is from that session. I’m hoping to work with her again someday. (And yes, I’m still a little starstruck to this day.) @samsanchezphoto
