BRAWDIE 2235

Her expression makes the photo work. Plus I love her hair in front of her face. I must be going through a phase because it’s the second photo I’ve posted with that motif. I’m even using motif in a sentence. This took a lot of subtle editing. I’m used to whamming sliders hard left or right. This took a delicate hand to get the tones right. It felt a bit alien, kinda like playing clean full chords on a Strat instead of distorted power chords. Brawdie posted a story which showed up in my feed which made me think of her which made me review our last shoot which made me release this picture. I gotta book her for another shoot soon. She’s an outstanding model and fun to work with. @samsanchezphoto

OUT OF THE BLUE: APNEA 3693

Apnea contacted me recently. Time stands still when I hear from her. It feels like a dolly-zoom shot. She’s embarking on a new adventure and asked for a small favor concerning the photos we created. I was more than happy to oblige. This photo reminded me of her great smile. She’s also wearing one of my blue dresses. Hence the title of this posting (Get it?). I’d wish her luck in her new endeavor but she won’t need it. Apnea makes her own luck. She’ll be successful in all she does. @samsanchezphoto

CARINA 0009

I entered this photo in the LensCulture Black & White contest. It didn’t win. Damn! It matters not. I love the way this came out. Her beautiful hair frames her pretty face perfectly and slightly obscures her intense soul-touching gaze. Carina is one of the most expressive models I’ve ever worked with. It’s a privilege to make photos with her. @samsanchezphoto
